Researching whether AI voiceover channels get monetized by YouTube

AI voiceover travel videos

Right now I’m in the middle of planning my next video which will be an “expose” of sorts. Well not really, but I’m going to take a close look at a video by YouTuber Joshua Mayo, and I’m going to point out the things he says that I think are legitimate, and also the things he says that I disagree with.

Can faceless channels with AI voiceover get monetized by YouTube?

The reason I’m bookmarking new-ish YouTube channels that have very little content and few subscribers is because one of these days I’m going to make a video based on how these channels progress. I think a lot of these channels get started because the makers of the channel see videos like Joshua Mayo’s and think oh boy, I’m gonna get rich by creating this YouTube channel.

How long does it take for faceless AI channels to gain subscribers?

So bookmarking these channels now, and writing this blog post to commemorate the occasion, is kind of a way of recording when I first began this “research.” It’ll be interesting to see how high they can rise in terms of subscribers and what kind of content they post over the coming months. I don’t think there’s any issue at all with faceless travel videos. There are TONS of those. But the trend of creating travel videos entirely with AI and tools like Invideo is relatively new.

I don’t know if I’m going to revisit these channels in three or six months, maybe even a year later, but I’ll be looking at their subscriber counts and whether or not they (a) qualify for monetization, and (b) got approved by YouTube for monetization.
