I recently made a video where I tested three different CAPTCHA-typing services proposed by Ryan Hildreth.
Well, it’s more accurate to say that I TRIED to test the services he discussed in his video, “Make $75 Every 30 Minutes Typing CAPTCHAS.”
Suffice it to say that pretty much everything Ryan Hildreth says will make you money is basically a bad joke. He’s not interested in helping anyone but himself.
This is a pretty short video, but I think it accurately describes Ryan Hildreth’s claim that you can make $75 every 30 minutes.

I think it’s probably for the best. According to this website called athomeaffiliates, Megatypers pays somewhere between 45 cents and 1.50 for solving 1,000 captchas.
— What a great use of time
And this other side hustle review site called Lushdollar says you’ll average about $1 per 1,000 captchas, and this person even did the math to figure out the effective hourly rate you’re being paid.
— LOL 70 cents per hour
I think we dodged a bullet here. The next captcha money maker that Ryan Hildreth talks about is some android app, and since I’m all Apple, we’ll just have to skip this one.

Ok so we finally get to do some captchas and see what this side hustle actually looks like.
First we have to do some training, which actually seems like a good idea.
And now here we go. We’re working!

No time to talk, the timer’s running

I’m gonna guess the rate is based on the type of captcha you’re solving
— This looks like absolute torture
It is. So I solved 10 captchas and earned what looks like 2 tenths of one cent.
— But there’s more to Ryan Hildreth’s video right
Yes there is, but it’s just him demonstrating how to spam an affiliate link on facebook
— At least he’s true to his brand. So why is this even a thing that people would pay for?
Well, according to the New York Times, this is a service that is needed by spammers.
— So you just helped spammers solve 10 captchas.
Probably.

So in case you need a summary to wrap this up:
- No, you will not be getting $75 every 30 minutes for typing captchas.
— You might be able to hit $75 every 30 days
Larry is correct. If this becomes your full-time job, $75 a month is probably doable. And the truth is I think this type of side hustle is just fine in places where 75 US dollars per month is a lot of money.
